Iveco got the inspiration for the new design from an in-depth study of aerodynamics, striving to make the truck more fuel-efficient.

The modernized cab is now more practical for drivers and passengers, with shapely new air deflectors, UV filter screen, and windscreen. The windscreen offers protection without the aerodynamic drag of a traditional exterior sunshade – boosting efficiency. The deflectors guide the flow of air around the chassis. The newly designed bumper has a handy step to clean the windscreen, simultaneously housing the advanced AEBS radar. A 2.1-meter cab width, 52-degree steering angle, and the best turning circle in its category top this impressive truck off.

The Iveco Eurocargo can host either a Tector 5 four-cylinder 4.5L diesel engine or a Tector 7 six-cylinder 6.7L diesel engine. Seven power levels offer from 160 to 320 horsepower. The three transmission options are a manual six- or nine-speed gearbox, a six- or 12-speed automatic transmission, or an automatic gearbox with torque converter. With continuous automatic Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration, the driver does not need to make periodic maintenance stops to manage heat stress.

The Technology Assessment Program is sponsored by the Office of Development, Testing, and Dissemination of the National Institue of Justice (NIJ), U.S. Department of Justic. The progam responds to the mandate of the Justice System Improvement Act of 1979, which created the NIJ and directed it to encourage research and development to improve the criminal justice system and to disseminate the results of the Federal, State, and local agencies.

The purpose of the Association of Testing Centers for Anti-Aggressive Materials and Constructions (VPAM) is to promote the exchange of experience, mutual assistance in technical matters and mutual information.

Among other things, a common opinion will be made possible in central questions of the testing of attack-inhibiting materials (eg. in the development and introduction of new standards and guidelines).
